LRCC Pool Rules

NO GLASS or breakable containers are permitted inside the Cabana Club gates!  This is a requirement per the State of California and County of Santa Clara for operation.

Penalties for violating Glass Rules:
1st offense: written warning

2nd offense: $100 fine with key turned off until fine paid

3rd offense: $100 fine with Board review of suspension of membership, key turned off until next Board meeting/review

Cabana Club Grounds  

  1. Hours of use are 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily from early April to late September. Normal  lifeguard hours are weekend and holiday afternoons and daily during school summer vacation.  
  2. Each household can purchase a maximum of 2 electronic keys fobs for access to the club.  Key fobs may be used only by members who are 18 years or older.  Per CA State Law, and to protect children from wandering in and drowning, the gates must be kept closed and locked at all times and require key access.  
  3. During non-­lifeguard hours: members & attendees under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult (18 or over).  
  4. During lifeguard hours: CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER must be accompanied by a responsible person 14 years or older authorized by parent.  No more than 4 children under 6 years per supervising adult.  
  5. No pets allowed inside the Cabana Club gates.  
  6. No littering.  Before leaving our club, all trash must be disposed of, all tables and other surfaces wiped clean, and BBQs and tables/chairs returned to their proper locations.
  7. Excessive noise (radios, stereos, etc.) is prohibited.  Please be considerate of others. This is a residential neighborhood.  
  8. No bicycling, rollerblading or skateboarding allowed inside the Cabana Club gates.  
  9. Alcoholic beverages are permitted to be consumed by adults (21 years or older). NO GLASS ALLOWED.
  10. Smoking is prohibited on the LRCC Property.  

Pool and Pool Area  

  1. Non-­swimmers are restricted to the shallow end of the pool and must be supervised by their parent or by a responsible person (14 years or older) authorized by their parent. At the lifeguard’s discretion, swimmers must be able to swim the length of the pool to prove their deep water proficiency.  
  2. No running or roughhousing in or around pool.  
  3. No food, beverages, or gum allowed in the pool or within 10 feet of pool.
  4. Diaper-aged children must wear swim-diapers with a plastic swim diaper while in and around the pool.
  5. No flotation equipment or toys (rafts, large animals, etc.) are allowed in the pool. Swim aids are OK. Ask a lifeguard for further clarification and decision.  
  6. Persons with colds, infections, open cuts/sores, or communicable diseases may not use pool.  
  7. Dirt and grass must be rinsed off before using pool.  
  8. No small (keys, coins, etc.) or pointed objects are allowed in pool.  
  9. Long hair (boys and girls) must be tied back when in the pool.  
  10. Only proper Swim Wear is to be worn in pool. No cut-­offs, t-­shirts, gym shorts, etc.  
  11. During lifeguard hours, beginning 45-minutes past each hour, there will be a 15 minute ADULT SWIM period for those 18 years and over and for adults with infants.  

Lifeguard rules are final. Lifeguard policy may change due to rule infraction, but follows the format of: 3rd verbal warning=10 minute time out of pool, 4th warning=pool use prohibited for the day/parents notified.
